Pommery marks 20 years of Salon Privé with limited edition Apanage Brut 1874

Champagne Pommery has unveiled a special release to celebrate two decades of the luxury car event at Blenheim Palace.

Anniversary release

Champagne Pommery will celebrate the 20th anniversary of Salon Privé at Blenheim Palace this August as the event’s official Champagne partner.

To mark the milestone, the house has produced a limited edition Salon Privé anniversary gift box containing Apanage Brut 1874. The cuvée pays tribute to Madame Pommery’s creation of Brut Champagne in 1874, with Cellar Master Clément Pierlot crafting a contemporary expression to highlight what the house describes as one of Champagne’s great oenological achievements.

According to Pommery, the blend offers a fresh take on the classic Brut style, designed to present a new tasting experience for wine enthusiasts.

‘Absolute purity takes centre stage’

Clément Pierlot, VPM cellar master, said: “Crafting Apanage Brut 1874 has been an exhilarating journey that honours the legacy of Madame Pommery while embracing the spirit of innovation. This cuvée reflects the culmination of our dedication to quality, blending the Maison’s rich reserve with the finest terroirs and vintages.”

He continued: “It is an invitation to experience the essence of Maison Pommery in a glass, where absolute purity takes centre stage. From its origins in the terroirs to the meticulous maturation process, every dimension of tasting has been reinterpreted to offer a sensorial experience that is truly exceptional.”

Bridging new markets and milestone celebrations

Just weeks after tapping into Hong Kong’s high-end on-trade with a tailored pairing of its new cuvée and fine dining venues in May 2025, Champagne Pommery now turns its attention back home — marking two decades of Salon Privé at Blenheim Palace with the debut of a commemorative limited-edition Apanage Brut 1874.
