HOMMAGE À WILLIAM DEUTZ 2018

During a June event hosted at The Peninsula in London, the Deutz Champagne house celebrated the release of its two new single-vineyard
Pinot Noir wines: Hommage à William Deutz Meurtet and Hommage à William Deutz La Côte Glacière 2018. Under the leadership of cellar master Caroline Latrive, the house was determined to pay tribute to its founder William Deutz, who was said to be immensely captivated by the landscape upon first visiting the hillsides of Aÿ. Since 1838, the independent, familyowned Champagne house has been guided by a “deep respect for raw materials”, allowing the slow ageing of its Champagnes that in turn reveal the minerality of the terroir.
