Sonoma’s Schug Winery expands in Asia Pacific
Schug Winery, in Carneros, Sonoma, has partnered with brand building agency Nimbility to build its presence in Asia Pacific markets.

Schug Winery is celebrating 40 years since its inaugural vintage in 2025, and has announced it plans to increase its presence and visibility across the Asia Pacific region.
Dave Moore, the winery’s general manager, said: “Our historic, family business which has been responsible through the decades for writing a significant part of Pinot Noir history in Carneros, coupled with our fresh, elegant and highly drinkable wines, hopefully will resonate with Asian wine lovers.”
The new partnership with Nimbility is set to grow Schug’s profile in the region. Nimbility will work with current import partners to build greater presence of the brand across all key target channels, as well as entering new markets with new partners to bring these wines to more Asian consumers across the region.

Schug Winery was founded by Walter Schug, who arrived in Sonoma’s Carneros region having worked at Napa Valley’s Joseph Phelps Winery, where he was responsible for first vintage of Insignia. Schug helped establish the Carneros region as an AVA in 1983.
The winery focuses primarily on expressions of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, with winemaking led by Johannes Scheid
“The terroir here in Sonoma is incredibly diverse,” says Scheid, “from cool climate vineyards close to the bay and coast, to exposed mountain vineyards high above the valleys. Highlighting these distinct vineyards and capturing their individual characteristics and nuances gives us infinite possibilities to create terroir-driven wines.”
