Jack Pailing named non-executive chair of Naked Wines
Online wine retailer Naked Wines has appointed Jack Pailing as its new non-executive chair following a “competitive recruitment process”. He steps up from his role as senior independent director.

Naked Wines plc has confirmed the appointment of Jack Pailing as non-executive chair of the Board with immediate effect.
Pailing, who joined the Group as senior independent director on 31 March 2025, takes on the role following a comprehensive and competitive recruitment process led by an external executive search firm.
The company said Pailing brings a strong understanding of Naked Wines’ strategy and operations, as well as extensive experience in governance and capital markets. His appointment is intended to provide continuity in leadership as the group progresses with its new strategic plan, unveiled at its Strategy Event in March 2025.

Thanks to outgoing interim chair
The Board extended its thanks to Deirdre Runnette, who acted as interim chair during the recruitment process. She will remain on the Board as a non-executive director and resume her previous role as senior independent director.
Commenting on his appointment, Pailing said: “It’s an honour to be selected to serve as chair of Naked Wines, a business I have known well for many years as a shareholder and customer, and more recently as a non-executive director. I look forward to continuing to work hard to create value for all our shareholders, employees and other stakeholders, alongside our CEO, Rodrigo Maza, and my trusted and valued Board colleagues.”
He continued: “I’d also like to add my own thanks to Deirdre, who has done a sterling job as interim chair over the past few months.”
