The Drinks Business Awards 2018 launched

the drinks business is now accepting entries for The Drinks Business Awards 2018, which are designed to recognise and reward top performers across the international drinks industry.

Now in its 16th year, the DB Awards have become one of the most respected commemorations in the drinks industry with every corner of the drinks trade represented, from the retail sector to importers, logistics, design, marketing campaigns and launches.

Categories include Retail Buying Team, Launch of the Year, Young Achiever of the Year, Best Logistics Company, Best PR Company, Independent Retailer of the year, among many more.

Unveiled each year at the London Wine Fair, the DB awards are a chance for outstanding companies and individuals to win high profile recognition in front of some of the industry’s most influential representatives.
As always, the winners will be announced at the London Wine Fair at the Olympia Exhibition Centre in west London, this year on 22 May.

A new entry to the awards list this year is the Sparflex Award for Best English Sparkling Wine Packaging.

Last year’s winners included Cru who won the Best Design and Packaging for Wine Award for its London Cru re-design LDN SW6, Wine Australia who won Drinks Event of the Year, Seedlip who won Launch of the Year, Liberty Wines who won On-trade Supplier of the Year and Aldi who won Drinks Retailer of the Year.

In terms of personality awards Dawn Davies MW was named Retail Buyer of the Year for her work at Speciality Drinks, Ged Feltham, founder of Portobello Road Gin, was named Man of the Year, while Diana Hunter, CEO of Conviviality PLC, was declared Woman of the Year.

Picking up the Lifetime Achievement Award was the former CEO of The Benevolent, David Cox.
