Molson Coors is giving away pints of beer for 70p – here’s how to get one
Drinks giant Molson Coors has launched a new initiative to raise the profile of its premium Czech Staropramen beers.
Consumers will be able to purchase a pint of beer for just 70p.
Molson Coors recently launched a new augmented reality campaign that engages both consumers and the on-trade, and gives punters the chance to win a pint of Pravha pilsner for just 70p.
“Influencers” will visit up to 1,000 pubs and bars across the UK serving the brewing giant’s Pravha beer in 2018, where they will lead staff through an interactive training programme before inviting customers to play #PraguePrices — a digital take on roulette.
The lucky winners will be able to get their hands on a pint of pilsner for just 70p — the average price of a pint of beer in Prague.
The average pint in London costs around £5, meaning the Pravha competition could get you an 86% discount at the bar if you win.
Molson Coors — which owns brands like Blue Moon, Cobra, Coors Light and Carling — has expanded its presence in the UK drinks market in recent months. Last week, the US drinks maker announced its acquisition of Suffolk-based brewer Aspall Cider.
And in 2017, Molson Coors won the exclusive rights to the UK sales, distribution and customer marketing of China’s best selling beer, Snow.
Clare Vintner, customer marketing and field sales management director said that the rise of premiumisation across both the on and off-trade means that consumers are more discerning with their drinks orders.
Vintner said that the interactive tour will help Molson Coors to raise awareness of premium brands within its portfolio, as well as driving footfall in UK pubs and bars.
“Consumers are increasingly looking for premium brands with heritage, flavour and provenance,” she said.
“With our Pravha Influencers campaign we hope to excite customers and consumers and drive increased rate of sale in the premium world beer category.”
