Thornbridge brewery partners with Pivovar to open new UK sites

UK brewer Thornbridge has announced it will join forces with pub group Pivovar to launch 10 new sites across the UK.

The next pub to join the Thornbridge family will be located in central Birmingham, and is expected to open in early Spring 2018.

The two businesses first partnered in 2010, when Pivovar struck a deal with Thornbridge to open railway pub The Sheffield Tap.

Thornbridge already operated eight pubs close to its Bakewell headquarters, as well as a site in Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands.

The new deal will see Pivovar and Thornbridge launch 10 new pubs nationwide over the next five years.

Thornbridge Brewery chief executive Simon Webster said: “We could not be more excited to announce this partnership, having worked with Pivovar for many years we know they are a fantastic company who share our core values.”

“We have a real passion for pubs and want to introduce our beers to a wider market. This gives us the opportunity to work towards ensuring our beer is present in every corner of the country.”

Jamie Hawksworth, Owner of Pivovar added: “Over the last 12 years we have created award winning bars supported by our own drinks wholesale division which delivers supply chain within our estate.”

“We are now thrilled to be joining forces with our friends at Thornbridge to roll out more amazing bars offering access to their beer range alongside our existing drinks portfolio.”
