db Lookalike: Newton Johnson / Klopp
When db attended Roger Jones’s African Safari bash at The Harrow in Little Bedwyn over the weekend, we were surprised to see Liverpool FC’s ebullient German coach Jürgen Klopp pouring wines among the Cape winemakers… until we realised it was actually Bevan Newton Johnson.
Bevan seemed nonplussed as we started to praise the tactical nous displayed in his side’s 4-1 victory over Leicester City on Saturday and was kind enough to explain that in fact his business was not the intricacies of the 4-2-3-1 formation but wine.
His family’s winery in Hemel-en-Aarde has made the new ‘Jones Family Collection’ Pinot Noir, the first release from the Jones family’s exciting new wine label venture.
