Maisons Marques et Domaines unveils fresh look

Maisons Marques et Domaines (MMD), UK subsidiary of Champagne Louis Roederer, has revamped its website unveiling a new corporate image and marking a new chapter in the company’s history.

Its new website, which will launch today, will give detailed background on the company’s portfolio of premium international producers and brands together with a news section and profiles of each member of its team.

A framework providing tasting notes, technical information and an image of every wine in its portfolio has also been introduced to the website.

Charles King, managing director at MMD said: “With several new people joining the team recently, it was felt that the time was right to articulate and reflect the positive developments, direction and outlook of the company via a new corporate look and improved website.

“The Maisons Marques et Domaines website was showing its age and, as the central and critical communication platform for the business, was in need of a refresh.

“It has undergone a major redesign, is now much more contemporary in style and tone than the previous website and offers a more engaging introduction to our business than its predecessor.”

Since it was founded in 1986 by Champagne Louis Roederer to handle its sales, marketing and distribution in the UK, the company’s UK portfolio has grown to include wines from France, Spain, Italy, New Zealand, South Africa, California and Portugal.

In 2013 it welcomed two new Italian agencies, Castiglion del Bosco and Zisola, strengthening its Italian wine category.

Rapaura Springs from New Zealand will be launched by MMD this autumn and a new addition to the Louis Roederer range will be revealed later this month.

This week will see the Louis Roederer International Wine Writers Awards take place for the tenth year at which several members of the drinks business team have been nominated.
