Quintessential Brands launches ‘Essential’

Quintessential Brands has formed an offshoot, “Essential Drinks”, as part of its plan to become a leading European company with a global reach.

Founded by former CEO of Campari, Enzo Visone, and investment banker Warren Scott, Essential was founded to offer commercial production as well as sales and distribution services in the UK and B2B partners.

Karl Hayes, managing director of Essential Drinks, commented: “Our role is to provide a full menu of services for brand owners. In addition to world-class production solutions, we offer customers unrivalled access in the UK to all key off-trade partners and a flexible ‘scale to bespoke’ on-trade solution, including full logistics management.”

To which Visone added: “Essential Drinks is an end-to-end solution for retailers and independent brand owners, adding capability where value can best be unlocked in the most effective and efficient manner.

“By working with Essential Drinks, brand owners are able to invest resource in areas where they have their own competitive advantage and can make use of Essential Drinks’ access and capabilities in a very low cost and effective manner.”

The setting up of the new subsidiary has been explained as a “further step” in the expansion of Quintessential Drinks following the 2011 acquisition of G&J Greenall.
