My Kentucky Kream cocktail
For many years I would give my very large family the gift of booze on Christmas.
The main ingredients
This act always seemed easy and after some consideration I made the decision to build my gifts for the family this year.
I wanted to build an Irish cream made with mint and Kentucky bourbon as a substitute for the Irish whiskey base.
This is the recipe that I used. I hope it does you well. Also note this product will have a life of about 16 days. Keep refrigerated at all times and shake it each time before you use it.
Kentucky Kream (Irish cream alternative)
· 1 1/4 cups Bourbon
· 1 tablespoon instant coffee
· 14 ounces (1 can) condensed sweetened milk
· 1/2 cup heavy cream
· 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder (I would suggest against this)
· 1oz Creme de menthe
· 2 tablespoons honey
Makes about 4 cups
