Ramsay closes The Devonshire
Gordon Ramsay has closed his west London pub The Devonshire.
A spokeswoman for Gordon Ramsay Holdings revealed that the Chiswick venue “has not been meeting our expectations for a while” and said that the group was now considering its options on what to do with the property.
Opened in 2007 to decidedly mixed reviews, The Devonshire’s failure has been linked to the wider problems facing the UK pub industry.
Its closure also comes just six months after the departure from GRH of The Devonshire’s former executive chef Mark Sargeant, who played a key role in the group’s expansion into the pub sector.
