Jessica is responsible for writing news and features across all drinks categories for the flagship magazine and website. She also curates the US and Asia weekly newsletters as well as working for Drinks Business Asia as its deputy editor.
Jessica has been a drinks writer and champion for the industry for over 13 years and worked in magazine publishing for 25 years. During that time, she has been both a publisher and a journalist and, within the drinks sector, has written for over 20 trade and consumer titles, including a sweep of show guides for the TFWA Dailies in Cannes and Singapore.
These days, she is more widely-known on social media as Drinks Maven, using the handle @drinksmaven with a reach that gains interest and traction from thousands of UK venues, influences decision-makers and is a respected voice on new trends in the drinks industry.
Jessica is also an events and conference presenter, consultant, an apprentice brewer, wine and cocktail tasting note scribe, awards judge as well a contributing author to two whisky and beer book compilations for the 1001 series. She was also the only female writer cited in the 2021 edition of the Good Beer Guide alongside chef Tom Kerridge and beer industry veteran Roger Protz.
Jessica is also the founder of the British beer and music initiative BritHop, was instrumental in spearheading the drinks positivity campaign Try January and is known for speaking passionately about the importance of equality within both the drinks industry and the UK on-trade.
Jessica, when not working from the db London office, resides in the North Laine in Brighton on the south coast of England with her husband and two sons.
