Charles Heidsieck releases Collection Crayères vertical

Champagne Charles Heidsieck is releasing a limited edition set of mixed cases of its Blanc des Millénaires this November, featuring every vintage ever made.

Just 150 cases are being released globally by the house and each contains a bottle each of the 1983, 1985, 1990, 1995 and 2004 vintages of the renowned blanc de blancs which is made from Chardonnay sourced from the grands crus of Cramant, Avize, Oger, Le Mesnil-Sur-Oger and Vertus.

Known as the ‘Collection Crayères’, the cases will be offered in the UK by Hedonism Wines, TheFinestbubble.com, Closcru.com and Handford Wines for £2,750-£2,980 each.

Stephen Leroux, Charles Heidsieck’s executive director, said: “Releasing these treasures from our cellars is an extraordinary thing to do. The Collection Crayères is an exercise in balance – to enable wine lovers to obtain such rare bottles while ensuring stock remains available for future generations.”
