Baileys launches Chocolat Luxe in HK

“Like eating a piece of chocolate”, Baileys Irish Cream has released Chocolat Luxe to the Hong Kong market made with Madagascan vanilla and Belgian chocolate.

The new sweet offering from Baileys was created by Anthony Wilson, son of the creator of the original Baileys Irish Cream who travelled to three continents to taste over 200 varieties of chocolate before settling for one from Belgium.

Chocolat Luxe contains 30g of chocolate per bottle, making it seem as if every drinker is “eating a piece of chocolate.”

Wilson commented: “For the first time, real Belgian chocolate has been fused with alcohol in a way that delivers the multi-sensory experience of chocolate in a glass. I am proud to be part of the team who brought a piece of chocolate paradise to world travellers for the very first time.”

Just in time for Christmas, Chocolat Luxe has been launched to the Hong Kong market by MHD where it will be available in several bars and restaurants for use in cocktails and on its own.

Martin Newell, Baileys brand manager for Hong Kong, said, “We are delighted to introduce Hong Kong to the delicious taste of Baileys Chocolat Luxe. This is the biggest innovation from Baileys since the original Irish Cream was launched 40 years ago. From this month, shoppers can pick up Baileys Chocolat Luxe across Hong Kong and bring home a taste of luxury”.

Baileys Chocolat Luxe will also be available in Wellcome and Park ‘n’ Shop priced at HK$170 per 50cl bottle.
