Nicolas Feuillatte appoints Sopexa UK

Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte has appointed Sopexa UK to manage its UK PR campaign during its 40th anniversary year.

Founded in 1986, Nicolas Feuillatte celebrates its 40th anniversary this year

As well as actively working with the trade to communicate Nicolas Feuillatte brand strategy, Sopexa will also manage a UK press office for the Champagne house.

The appointment comes as Feuillatte celebrates its 40-year anniversary, during which it aims to “reconnect with its history and DNA, with a new impetus and a vision, founded on a fresh vision of Champagne and the luxury world, and a new brand platform”.

“Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte has been a big commercial success over the years in the UK,” said Olivier Legrand, marketing and communications manager at Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte.

“Our key objective for this campaign is to reassert our positioning and the vision of the brand and ensure greater visibility for our wines.

“We will be launching a new advertising campaign based around the original concept of ‘showing the other side of life’, which in French we refer to as ‘enchanter la vie’.

“We look forward to sharing this and all of our exciting new projects with the British wine trade and consumers.”

The youngest of the Grandes Maisons de Champagne, Nicolas Feuillatte is the third-largest Champagne brand in the UK off-trade as well as being the best-selling Champagne brand in France.

Its co-operative status gives it access to more than 2,250 hectares of vineyard, including vines grown in most of the Grand Cru and Premier appellations.

In 2014 the brand sold a record 10.66 million bottles of Champagne, while last year it ranked 97 in the top 100 most powerful wines and spirits brands, according to the Power Brands Survey compiled by Intangible Business and the drinks business.

“We are delighted to have been appointed to represent Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte in the UK,” said Anne Burchett, managing director at Sopexa UK.

“With our extensive knowledge and experience working both with French wines and international brands, we’re poised and ready to activate Champagne Nicolas Feuillatte’s new positioning within the UK wine trade and beyond.”
