Londoners will be invited to receive a free massage from “award-winning masseuses” at the Westfield Stratford shopping centre in East London from 12-8pm this Thursday.

The ‘experiential activation’ is part of the brand’s wider campaign to promote the new Chang Beer bottle design, which launched in the UK this month.

The massage will will appear to take place inside a 2m-high Chang Beer bottle which replicates the new green bottle design.

To promote the activation, Chang Beer brand ambassadors will be riding a Chang Beer branded Tuk Tuk around the area and encouraging commuters to take a lift to their free massage, as well as free samples of Chang Beer.

A variety of limited edition ‘Land of Smiles’ beer mat masks will also be handed out as part of a social media competition which will launch on the same day, a statement from Chang said.

Participants will have the chance to wine a pair of return flights to Thailand by posting selfies using the Chang Beer ‘Land of Smiles’ beer mat masks on social media using #ChangBeer.

The beer mat masks will also be available at a variety of Thai restaurants in London and beyond.

The premium Thai beer brand owned by Interbev group changed its bottle design from its traditional brown to a vibrant emerald and gold to mark its 21st anniversary.

Currently three-quarters of Chang Beer’s sales are accounted for by the UK on-trade.

The bottle redesign has been undertaken to “bring the packaging in line with Chang Beer’s premium positioning in international markets”.

Chang has seen growth in the UK wholesale market of around 50% over the past five years.
