Top 10 sexed-up alcohol adverts

From nude harvesters and foot fetishes to cherry-popping and body art – the alcohol industry has unleashed all manner of saucy ads over the years.

While some brands’s efforts might be more crass than cool, others have used a creative touch of good-humoured naughtiness to effectively turn heads.

We have scoured the web to bring you a selection of some of the most humorous drinks adverts in recent years that successful embrace a playful sense of sauciness.

Scroll through for a peek at some of the industry’s naughtiest adverts…

 Vinosofia

This suggestive ad series was released in 2006 by Vinosofia – a Brazilian enoteca letteraria comprising a fine wine boutique, wine bar and culinary bookshop. Human feet have played a central role in the making of wine for centuries, however the practice has become less popular in modern times as mechanisation has become more widespread.

SLO Down Wines

If you name your wine brand “Sexual Chocolate” you’re clearly looking to provoke a reaction, even more so its winemaker, Brandon Allen, appears in an advert wearing a bright yellow banana hammock, rainbow boxer briefs and bottomless chaps. The wine, made in Napa Valley, is a blend of Zinfandel, Syrah and Petite Sirah.

Avondale Wine

Getting down to your birthday suit is one way of driving home the message that your wines are totally natural. South Africa’s Avondale certainly make an impression with this cheeky ad which aired as part of its “Au Naturel” campaign in 2007. The eco-conscious winery use cover crops instead of fertilizers to restore the balance of the soil and use ducks and wasps to control pests rather than artificial sprays.

Skyy vodka

This provocative advert for Skyy vodka’s cherry infusion was released in 2010.

Heineken

Taking body art to the extreme is this saucy advert for Dutch beer brand Heineken.

Wodka Vodka

This risqué advert for Polish vodka brand Wodka (the Polish word for vodka) was released in 2012, offering a unique solution to keeping up with the household chores…

A Bela Sintra – “Vinho A Bela Sintra”

Vinosofia are not the only ones to (oddly) hone in on feet to promote its wines. Portuguese restaurant, A Bela Sintra, released this image as part of its “Vinho A Bela Sintra” in 2008 featuring a number of foot-focused press advertisements.

Vallformosa

Perhaps the best advert for Cava ever, Vallformosa thinks that the answer to selling more of its fizz in Belgium is simply for its people to “have more sex”.

Bit Copa

This “refreshingly Brazilian” adverts was created by Brazilian beer brand Bit Copa. Bringing together the country’s finesse for body art and passion for carnival, this playful campaign was created by the Jung von Matt Alster ad agency based in Hamburg, Germany.

Campari

Finally we have this not so subtle advert for Campari…
