Pol Roger increases horse power

Pol Roger has announced a major new sponsorship as official Champagne partner of the FEI European Eventing Championships 2015 at Blair Castle.

A highlight of the international equestrian calendar, the event takes place from 10-13 September in the Scottish Highlands and is due to attract widespread TV coverage and some of Europe’s top competitors.

To support its activity, Pol Roger has recruited top UK eventers Harry Meade and Laura Collett as brand ambassadors, or “fizzy rascals”.

Speaking about the tie-in during an event to celebrate Pol Roger’s first move into the eventing world, Meade remarked: “Any horse enthusiast will be very excited that the European Championships are coming to Blair and it’s lovely to be involved with such a fun, enthusiastic company who really understand the spirit of eventing.”

Paul Graham, associate director of Pol Roger UK outlined the appeal of this “significant investment” for the Champagne house, saying: “This high profile event, with the top equestrian athletes competing for the title of European Champions, will provide us with an opportunity to showcase our champagne in a beautiful and traditional setting as well as meeting existing clients and those yet to join our ranks.”
