Enotria hires new marketing director

Enotria has announced another senior appointment to its team as the UK importer continues with an ambitious push forward.

January will see the arrival of new marketing director Helen Munday, who is leaving the same post at fellow UK importer Hallgarten Druitt & Novum Wines after two years. With more than 10 years experience as a board-level director, Munday’s previous drinks industry roles have been at PLB and Thresher Group.

The news comes just weeks after Enotria confirmed the appointment of Buckingham Schenk managing director Jon Pepper MW as its new buying & retail director.

Since the arrival of CEO Troy Christensen earlier this year, the company has also made some high profile additions to its wine portfolio, including Australian producer d’Arenberg and US group Ste Michelle Wine Estates.

Announcing this latest appointment, Christensen, commented: “Enotria aspires to be the market leader when it comes to working closely with our producer partners to build brands and leveraging robust consumer insight to improve the business performance of our customers. Accordingly we are investing to develop and increase our marketing function and Helen will help bring about this step change in our business.”

He highlighted Munday’s “in-depth knowledge of marketing and business strategy, consumer insight, brand development, new product development and public relations across all channels and origins in the UK market”, adding: “Her breadth of experience encompasses retail, product development and brand building, together with experience in premium wine, spirits and beer.”

Munday described her move as “a perfect time and opportunity to add vision and excitement to the business by instigating a premium marketing programme.” She added: “I am really looking forward to working with the team there to invigorate and build on the success of the business and develop the companies leading position within the industry.”
