Wine mouth spray launched

In time for the release of 2014 Beaujolais Nouveau last Thursday, a Lithuanian advertising agency has launched a wine mouth spray.

The brainchild of McCann Vilnius, the oldest ad agency in Lithuania, Bouche bée wine spray advocates the idea of Beaujolais on the go.

Seeking to push the boundaries of wine packaging and offer a fresh perspective, the sprayable wine, housed in tiny black bottles, is designed to look like breath freshener.

Created specifically for Beaujolais Nouveau Day, Bouche bée, meaning “mouth open” in French, comes with a floral case in a nod to Beaujolais’ floral character.

“It shouldn’t come as a surprise that advertising people love drinking, or as we call it – tasting. Sadly, it’s not safe for work, so we created this ingenious wine packaging that looks like mouth spray,” a representative from the agency said.

“It not only hides your alcohol conveniently, but also helps you to discover the best part of Beaujolais, it’s distinctive smell, reminiscent of freshly picked flowers,” they added.

Every year the agency releases a quirky wine packaging concept to mark Beaujolais Nouveau Day – last year it launched a wine in a paint tin. McCann Vilnius has worked with the likes of BMW and L’Oreal.
