Beckham hosts Shanghai Haig Club bash

Celebrities flocked to a Haig Club pop-up held in Shanghai and hosted by David Beckham and Simon Fuller.

Looking sharp: David Beckham at the Shanghai Haig Club pop upSet across two floors just off Shanghai’s upscale Bund area, the Haig Club Shanghai was the third event held to promote David Beckham’s and music mogul, Simon Fuller’s whisky venture with UK drinks giant, Diageo.

Actors, actresses,models and bloggers from across Asia were treated to Haig Club cocktails created by global brand ambassador, Ewan Gunn and sumptuous fare from Steven Liu, one of China’s most renowned chefs.

Haig Club fans around the world who were at a loose end were also able to watch the event through live streaming app, MyEye.

Launched in the UK last year, Haig Club is inspired by the fragrance industry and is presented in a distinctive square blue bottle. It was first launched in Asia at Singapore’s Changi Airport.

David Beckham commented “It’s amazing to see our shared vision of bringing a modern and stylish new Scotch Whisky to people all over the world. To be able to return to Shanghai since I launched Haig Club here in China a little over a year ago is incredible.”
