Revamped Vinexpo 2015 hits capacity

Vinexpo has confirmed that it has now sold all exhibitor space, as the Bordeaux trade fair announced a number of user-friendly changes to its layout.

In contrast to previous years, 2015 will see the 2,400 exhibitors located in Halls 1 and 3, while Hall 2 will be used exclusively for the event’s extensive line-up of seminars and tastings.

As well as hosting a number of dining options, the outdoor lakeside area will be home to “Les Terrasses”, a new premium stand zone that will feature 12 exhibitors. The Vinexpo team has also dispensed with The Avenue, a large space at the centre of Hall 1, which previously hosted shops, the press centre and VIP Lounge.

Together, these changes are designed to make the event more compact, efficient and visitor friendly.

In addition, both exhibitors and visitors will be able to take advantage of improved transport links to the fair via a new tram, which runs directly from the exhibition centre into the middle of Bordeaux.

Announcing the changes, Vinexpo CEO Guillaume Deglise said: “This new-look Vinexpo is our response to exhibitor needs. We are revitalising the premium offer with a brand new concept, Les Terrasses – hybrid stands that allow exhibitors both to have a stand in Hall 1 and a lakeside terrace.

“Hall 2 was no longer suitable for welcoming visitors on the stands, so we have completely rethought the layout to satisfy our exhibitors,” he added.
