The week in pictures: Hong Kong

Austrade put on a tasting of boutique Australian wineries in Hong Kong last week. As well as a chance to taste wines and talk to producers, there were four masterclasses to attend including; “Classic Aussie Varietals, Boutique Style” and “Terroir makes all the difference: West v South Showcase”.

Wendy Killeen of Stanton and Killeen vineyard in Rutherglen whose wines were at the tasting.

Goedhuis hosted a portfolio tasting at The Space on Hollywood Road last week. The event saw a large turnout and was graced by the arrival of Johhny Goedhuis himself who had flown into town for the occasion.

Also jetting in was Burgundian winemaker Nicolas Potel, seen here with the staff of importer l’Imperatrice.

Potel was hosting a tasting of the 2012 vintage from his estates Domaine de Bellene and Maison Roche de Bellene.

And, just to prove that db‘s Rupert Millar doesn’t fall asleep during interviews as it might have appeared from last week’s photo collection, here he is, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, talking to Jean-Herve Chicquet of Jacquesson at the Kerry Wines portfolio tasting from two weeks ago.
