Carnival Sparkling Moscato, Serra Gaucha, Brazil

Carnival_MoscatoA summer of wine has officially arrived, at least according to the newspapers this weekend, with a swathe of recommendations for the warmer weather, Father’s Day and the World Cup.

Jane MacQuitty of The Times says “Britain’s wine buyers have been quick to list the best of Brazil’s wines… Bring Rio’s party spirit to your table with I Heart Brasil Sparkling Moscato, a quirky, musky, faintly minty, 8.5 per cent alcohol off-dry fizz (Tesco, £7.99 until July 1) or, finer still, Marks & Spencer’s softly sweet, grapey, floral Carnival Sparkling Moscato.”

Marks & Spencer, £8.99
