Champagne Lounge expands for ProWein

The Champagne Lounge at ProWein 2014 has doubled in size and will include half of the Champagne producers exhibiting at the fair.

At 300 square metres, the Champagne Lounge is twice the size as the year before and will host 25 Champagne producers, including Taittinger, as well as two tasting areas.

There will be around 60 Champagnes to taste at the lounge and other producers will be based in the other halls as are all the other sparkling wine producers from around the world including the UK.

Meanwhile, in the spirits section, two US producers are making their debut at the fair with several new releases for the European market.

Heaven Hill Distilleries and McCormick Distilling, two family-run producers, will be at the spirits section in hall 7a, Heaven Hill with its ‘Elijah Craig 20-year-old Single Barrel Bourbon” and McCormick with new releases for Europe, the “Triple Crown Whiskey” and “Hooks Rum”.

A full preview of ProWein will appear in the March issue of the drinks business.
