Crowd-funding is an internet phenomenon that has boomed in recent years  with sites such as Kickstarter generating millions to start up all kinds of creative businesses. 

Top 10 craft beers in the US

An array of beer-themed projects were funded by the site in 2013 with Kickstarter users donating millions of dollars to dozens of projects.

The idea is simple – pitch your business to an online audience in the hope that people will take it into their hearts and donate funds.

In 2013 three million people pledged $480 million to Kickstarter projects funding more than 19,000 ideas.

Here we round up a few of the beer-based Kickstarter projects that attracted full funding in 2013, with projects ranging from a pocked beer-bottle chiller to a craft-beer bakery.
