Billionaire’s body found in the Dordogne

A body, potentially of Chinese billionaire Lam Kok killed in last year’s helicopter crash, has been found on the banks of the Dordogne.

The body was discovered last Friday (14 February) near Saint-Andre de Cubzac but has not yet been formally identified.

According to The Bangkok Post, officials have said, “The site of the discovery is located between the site of the crash and the place where the bodies of two other passengers were found.”

Kok was killed nearly two months ago when the helicopter in which he was riding crashed into the Dordogne.

The pilot, James Grégoire, the owner of Château de la Rivière which Kok had just purchased, was also killed and his body only recovered last month.

Their interpreter, Peng Wang, also died and was found in early January, the body of Kok’s 12 year old son was recovered at the crash site.

The cause of the crash is still to be determined. It is thought that the helicopter had not been refuelled prior to take off.
