Qibla – Cola expands its range

The Qibla brand offers real choice for people concerned by the practices of the major Western multinationals,"

THE UK-based Qibla-Cola company, which is cleverly marketing an alternative cola for Muslims and "people with a conscience," is introducing 300ml cans for its cola and launching three new drinks – lemon and lime Qibla 5, orange and mango Qibla Fantasy and Qibla spring water.

The drinks are sold through independent stores in the UK and the firm is beginning to distribute in Europe. It is also planning distribution in the Middle East and Pakistan.

"The Qibla brand offers real choice for people concerned by the practices of the major Western multinationals," says Qibla-Cola CEO, Zafer Iqbal.

"People are increasingly questioning the role these brands play in their societies and Muslims in particular are increasingly seeking alternative products."

The company, which gives 10% of its profits to the charity Islamic Aid, has sold one million bottles of Qibla cola since February and is anticipating production to grow to one million bottles a month.
