Global Rosé Masters
On 2 May, a panel of expert judges, comprising Masters of Wine, including and senior buyers, gathered at the Great Scotland Yard Hotel in central London, for one of the year’s most extensive competition run by le secteur des boissons: the Global Rosé Masters, uncovering the top wines of this category across the world.

Women in Wine
On Tuesday 30 April, Women in Wine LDN hosted an evening of conversation with Jancis Robinson MW, hosted by Anjali Douglas at the historical Vintners’ Hall. The duo covered a variety of topics including pleasure in the wine industry, the changing landscape of wine language as well as the past, present and future of gender inequality in our industry.
Following the talk, guests were invited to continue the conversation over drinks and canapés in the striking upstairs floor of the Hall.
The event was photographed by Krishanthi Puwanarajah, who has covered each Women in Wine LDN event since their relaunch in June 2023.
Axia
A Guinness World Record title has been awarded to the Before Its Gone (BIG) Expedition Team for the most northerly cocktail party in the world, in partnership with Axia, the extra-dry Aegean Spirit.
The BIG team is an international network of like-minded, adventurous scientists and explorers who embark on expeditions in the Artic to carry out vital environmental research in the region.
The cocktail party took place at the end of a multi-year scientific project running from 2021-24, studying the impact of climate change on Arctic Sea ice. The group of five travelled via Resolute Bay in Canada to a location around 25km north of the 1996 magnetic North Pole to conduct research.
On the day of the cocktail party, the team spent 17 hours on the ice collecting ice and snow samples. The party location was chosen due to its natural beauty, with ice poking through the surface of the frozen ocean. At the location, the team set up the party complete with canapés and three Axia Spirit cocktails created by Global Brand Ambassador Giannis Miliotis and Dram Bar, Soho, London, served in -24 Celsius. The location was recorded at 78°46′04″N 103°26′58″W.
