Join writer and wine educator Michelle Cherutti-Kowal MW for a special Drinks Business masterclass focusing on the full range of Chablis appellations.

Celebrated around the world for its wines, Chablis is the natural home of the Chardonnay grape, and the wines produced in the region provide the purest expression of this variety. Chablis is a classic staple of wine lists and independent merchants’ offers, but there is more to Chablis than meets the eye (and palate).

Michelle will present a selection of all four styles of Chablis – Petit Chablis, Chablis, Chablis Premier Cru and Chablis Grand Cru – and explore the stylistic nuances between each appellation (and even between right and left bank Chablis Premier Cru).

She will also show why these wines work so well in the on-trade and independent sectors, and talk about how these classic examples of Chardonnay are ideal when it comes to adventurous food-matching.

So don’t just limit yourself to pairing Chablis with oysters and shellfish.

Have you tried it with sushi, or even English spring lamb?

The Chablis Wines masterclasses, in association with The Drinks Business, are an initiative from the BIVB Chablis (Bourgogne Wine Board).
