Santo Tequila Añejo is the fifth expression in the famous duo’s portfolio, sitting alongside the Santo Blanco, Reposado, Blanco 110 Proof and Mezquila — a Mezcal/Tequila blend.

The new expression has been produced by third-generation distiller Juan Eduardo Nuñez and tequilera Karina Rojo at the El Viejito Distillery in Jalisco, Mexico.

Santo Tequila Añejo is distilled from 100% Blue Weber Agave, and the spirit is aged for an average of 24 months in former American Whiskey oak casks to meet the team’s exacting standards.

Guy Fieri, who is one of the Santo Spirits partners as well as a restaurateur and host of a number of cooking shows on the Food Network, said of the new serve: “Our Añejo is the perfect sipper, real deal flavour that comes from treating the agave and the barrel ageing process with respect, not from additives or flavourings. On its own or side-by-side whatever you’re grillin’ up, the big, bold, agave-forward flavour of Santo Tequila Añejo is here just in time for summer.”

Santo Tequila Añejo will be available online and at retailers across the US for a suggested price of $74.98 for a 750ml.

Fieri is one of a number of celebrities who have bought into the rising Tequila category in recent years. Here’s a list of some of the big hitters in celebrity Tequilas, from Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Kendall Jenner to Justin Timberlake and Rita Ora.
