Women leaders head up drinks packaging expansion

Drinks packaging company The Spearhead Group has formed an all-women ownership team to lead its expansion across India, Italy and Mexico.

The company’s founders and owners will include: Heather Fritzsche, who will look after the expansion across the US and global; Patricia Burguete, who will look after Mexico; Giovanna Pinna, who will lead the company’s expansion across Italy; and Pooja Sikand, who will broaden the business’s reach across India.

The Spearhead Group, which has headquarters in the US in Yardley, Pennsylvania, is a certified women-owned business and aims to promote core values of “innovation, sustainability, diversity, equity and inclusion”. The company also attested that its global team of all-women owners and founders is “the first of its kind in the packaging industry”.

The US arm of the company has, through intentional supply chain management, revealed that almost 60% of the company’s 2022 purchasing benefitted other women-owned businesses with, as Fritzsche explained, the intention of “creating equity that gives back”.

Fritzsche added: “Our new team shares a powerful vision to deliver truly innovative packaging solutions while reinforcing a positive company culture defined by sustainability at all levels. Our collective business network aims to create boundless opportunities for mentorship and growth potential. We are continually learning from each other and leveraging years of experience to develop client solutions that span the world.”
