‘Once in a lifetime’ Napa vineyard estate on sale for US$35 million

A luxurious Napa valley vineyard estate and residence comprising 13.6 hectares could be Napa’s biggest ever sale, according to real estate agency Coldwell Banker.

With a guide price of US$35 million, the Meteor Vineyard Estate boasts 22.58 acres of vines in the Coombsville American Viticultural Area, as well as three residential properties that boast views over the vines.

The vineyard is mainly planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, with a small amount of Petit Verdot. The Meteor Vineyard brand is also up for sale for an undisclosed price. According to real estate site The Real Deal, the vineyard has “very lucrative” contracts with several brands in Napa.

The property comes with a dizzying array of luxurious touches, including a swimming pool, spa, heated plunge pool, wood-fired pizza oven, and a cellar with rack space for some 1,250 bottles.

The main residence is a four-bedroom home, while a three-bedroom second house and studio are also situated on the property.

The Meteor Vineyard Estate is conveniently situated close to Napa airport, downtown Napa, and roughly 40 miles from San Francisco.

Real estate agent Cyd Greer told The Real Deal that high net worth buyers from Napa and as far away as Asia have registered their interest in the estate, and were “not as sensitive” to economic downtown that has seen the market slow in recent times.

“These are buyers looking for their second, third or fourth homes,” she explained.

As the listing states, “This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a connoisseur of architecture, winemaking, and the geography and flora of Napa Valley”.

The estate’s current owners have not been formally identified, with Greer citing privacy concerns.
