Bright Drinks becomes exclusive UK distributor for ‘electrifying’ gin

Bright Drinks has agreed a multi-year deal for the exclusive UK marketing and distribution of Wattshot, a gin that makes your mouth “tingle”.

The agreement, which includes a six-figure support package for the brand to boost its presence in the UK, follows successful on-trade and online launches for the brand across Europe: Germany, Portugal, Austria, France, Germany, The Netherlands, Sweden and Switzerland.

The cherry-blossom gin, Wattshot, uses eight botanicals and was originally created in 2021 by Stuart Logan who wanted to recreate a drink that emulated childhood sweets that “tingled” on your tongue and find a new way to diversify how people could enjoy gin.

According to the company, the 37.5% ABV gin, which uses 100% natural ingredients, includes a “secret herbal ingredient” that gives its mouthfeel an “an electrifying tingle”.

Will Coates, co-founder of Bright Drinks added: “When we were first approached by Wattshot, we tested the market with sampling in venues across the South West and were blown away by the consumer and trade response.
