Drink as many pints as you want in this bar and always leave feeling better

A bar owner says his customers can drink as much as they like in his bar and will always walk out feeling much better.

The boast, which came from Irish publican Vaughan Yates, was based on the fact that his bar, named the Virgin Mary, is a wellbeing bar and primarily sells alcohol-free drinks and uplifting refreshment options.

Yates told the Irish Sun that “people are becoming more mindful about drinking products that make them feel good as opposed to making them feel bad” and so his bar, concentrates on making people feel better, rather than drowning their sorrows.

“We’re moving from being a non-alcohol bar to being a wellbeing bar. People come here to try our mood-boosting cocktails to drink our healthy beers, they’re almost healthier when they walk out compared to when they walked in,” said Yates.

He added: “We offer 20 craft non-alcoholic beers that we import from around the world to the Virgin Mary and we sell them in the bar and online, so people come to our bar to drink really good non-alcoholic beers that are super tasty.”

Yates revealed that he likes to offer choice beyond the big brands and explained: “If you go to most of the supermarkets and pubs around Dublin, you’ll get Heineken 0.0, you’ll get Guinness 0.0 you’ll get maybe Peroni, Erdinger, and maybe Carlsberg in some of them as well because the pubs serve the big brands.”

The Virgin Mary on Dublin’s Capel Street said that it’s not always about selling big names, but about supporting people and, despite the pandemic, business is booming.
