EMW begins distribution for Four Fox Saké in Mainland China

EMW Fine Wines and Junmai Daiginjo Saké producer Four Fox Saké signed a new import and distribution agreement for Mainland China.

EMW Fine Wines, leading importer and distributor in China, announces the new partnership with Four Fox Saké today (28 May) as another important step for the company to expand its saké portfolio since the move debuted in August 2020.

Despite the fact that the saké brewery has been in continuous production for almost 200 years and kept in the same family all this time, Four Fox Saké does not focus on the brand history, instead to embrace its hybridity of tradition, function and modernity.

Made in an area that has a greater annual snowfall than Oslo or Moscow in Osaka, the Junmai Daiginjo represents the purity of water, rice and koji. The stylish bottle of Four Fox Saké is a tribute to Inari Okami, the god of Rice, Saké, Swordsmiths and Foxes in Japanese mythology.

Olivier Six, COO of EMW Fine Wines, commented, “the first time I came to know Four Fox Saké, I was deeply impressed by its unique tasting profile and exquisite modern design. The covid-19 postponed our collaboration but I’m really glad that we are starting now our cooperation and can’t wait to taste Four Fox Saké in our partner venues. We’re proud of being part of an incredible fast growing market, where opportunities are huge for saké category.”

Michael Campion, managing director at Four Fox Saké, said, “ever since we met EMW at Vinexpo Shanghai 2019, we knew that we wanted to work with them. We are delighted to find that we are sharing one common vision for a modern and exciting saké brand in China, and believe they will be the best partner to realize our potential.”
