Giusti appoints Graziana Grassini as a consultant

Prosecco producer Giusti has appointed Italian oenologist Graziana Grassini as a consultant winemaker, marking her first consultancy in the Treviso region.

Graziana Grassini is now consulting for Giusti in Asolo and Montello

Born in Tuscany, having trained under the wing of Giacomo Tachis, Grassini runs a wine lab that is considered a reference point for the Italian agri-food industry.

She consults for wineries across Italy, including Tenuta San Guido in Tuscany; Alberto Longo in Apulia; and Villa le Prata in Montalcino.

“I chose Graziana for her combination of feminine grace, Tuscan dedication and international sensitivity,” said Giusti’s founder and CEO, Ermenegildo Giusti.

“I came back to my homeland to give back some of the luck I got in my life, the result of years of commitment and sacrifice. My dream is that this little corner of paradise, the Montello area, will become an international standard,” he added.

Grassini’s aim is to produce “captivating and original wines” that tell the story of the Asolo and Montello regions.

In July, Giusti opened its ambitious new cellars to the public – a €20m project entrepreneur Ermenegildo is hoping will lure tourists to the Asolo region, along with Giusti’s collection of boutique guesthouses.

The cellar runs across five levels and is integrated in the landscape of Nervesa della Battaglia. Giusti also recently helped to restore the Abbazia di Sant’Eustachio.
