Edinburgh Gin creates ‘Neighbourhood Packs’ for latest RTD launch

Edinburgh Gin is giving away free multi-packs of a new raspberry-flavoured RTD to local communities in the UK that have worked together to make life easier during lockdown.

The gin brand, which is owned by Ian Macleod Distillers, has created the packs to promote the newest addition to its RTD range, the Raspberry Gin Fizz.

The 6% ABV canned cocktail is made with sparkling white wine and Edinburgh Gin’s Raspberry Liqueur.

Edinburgh Gin’s Neighbourhood Packs – which include multiple cans of the Raspberry Gin Fizz, doorstep gift bags, and postcards that carry messages of thanks – will be delivered to streets throughout the country that have shown “the greatest community spirit throughout the coronavirus crisis,” according to the brand.

The gin brand is asking people to nominate their community via the brand’s online channels, sharing an example of a good deed that has happened in during lockdown.

Neil Boyd, UK Managing Director of Ian Macleod Distillers, said: ” We’ve taken a serve we know our consumers love and given it back to them in a pre-mixed, convenient format, making it the perfect summer cocktail to enjoy at home or while soaking up some sun in the garden.

“The RTD category has gone from strength to strength over the past few years and now, more than ever, consumers are looking for convenient pre-mixed options – which is why we decided to bolster our award-winning range of premium RTDs with this exciting release.”

Edinburgh Gin Raspberry Gin Fizz (250ml can) is sold in Tesco and Sainsburys stores nationally, and Spar stores across Scotland, with an RRP of £2.
