Le Cordon Bleu debuts the first travelling school in HK

Le Cordon Bleu, the prestigious Parisian culinary institution and academy, has arrived in Hong Kong for the first time to offer cookery lessons to the city’s gourmet enthusiasts.

K11 Musea, the highly-anticipated retail landmark in Hong Kong which opened its doors this autumn, announced the three-year partnership with the renowned cooking academy.

It is the first time Le Cordon Bleu has partnered with a non-government organisation to launch its first travelling school.

The intensive and comprehensive programme ‘Muse’ is only available in Hong Kong.

The institution is going to offer exclusive, tailor-made cooking courses hosted by its master chefs. The courses will be conducted in intimate and personalised classes of between eight and 16 people and the duration varies from a half-day to three or five days.

A range of courses will be offered to suit all ages and levels of experience including family classes where parents can cook side by side with their kids.

The intensive curriculum is designed under the categories ‘Cuisine’ and ‘Pastry & Desserts’. Upon completion of the course, participants will receive exclusive certificates from Le Cordon Bleu.

Among the chefs from Le Cordon Bleu who will teach these courses are a trio of highly experienced French chefs including pastry director Olivier Paredes, the winner of the prestigious Louis Berger Trophy (Sugar Art category), technical director Philippe Clergue, finalist in the Un des Meilleurs Ouvriers de France 2011 and veteran bakery chef Regis Fevrier.

Andre Cointreau, president of Le Cordon Bleu, said: “We have been searching for the right partner to bring our acclaimed programme of courses to Hong Kong, and K11 Musea, with their keen focus on the incubation of arts and culture, is synchronised closely with our own vision, making it the perfect choice. This exciting collaboration with K11 Musea in Hong Kong represents a new milestone for Le Cordon Bleu.”

The courses will take place at A. Gastronomy Lab in the shopping complex  from 2 November 2019. Course fee starts from HK$2,760 to HK$15,200 and applications are now open here.
