Brewhouse & Kitchen breaks world record for largest beer tasting

Brewer and pub operator Brewhouse & Kitchen has broken the world record for the largest beer tasting across multiple venues, with 1,264 people tasting three brews simultaneously across 21 different sites.

Brewhouse & Kitchen was awarded the accolade last Thursday (29 November) after Guinness World Records adjudicators ruled the attempt a success.

At 7pm, 1,264 people across 21 different branches of the chain consumed three of its craft beers at the same time.

Only those people that had signed up for the record attempt were allowed into the venues.

Founded in 2011 by Simon Bunn and Kris Gumbrell, Brewhouse & Kitchen now has 22 sites across the country in Bristol, Bournemouth, Bedford, Cardiff, Cheltenham, Chester, Dorchester, Gloucester Quays, Highbury, Horsham, Hoxton, Islington, Lichfield, Milton Keynes, Nottingham, Poole, Portsmouth, Southbourne, Southampton, Southsea, Sutton Coldfield and Wilmslow.

London law firm Joelson was the official legal supervisor on the day, alongside employees from Guinness World Records.
