Julian Dyer, general manager UK and Europe for Australian Vintage, has been named chief operating officer.
Dyer will act as the company’s COO in the UK and Europe, while his counterpart in Australia and North America, Cameron Ferguson, has likewise been promoted to the same position for those markets.
Australian Vintage, the maker of the McGuigan brand, said the promotions were intended to, “streamline AVL’s global sales, marketing and packaging operations as the business continues to focus on product development and innovation.”
CEO, Neil McGuigan, said: “We have taken the decision to re-align the core components of our business making AVL a more agile business with enhanced capabilities.
“The move will increase our ability to deliver on our vision of making great quality wine accessible to everyone around the world for every occasion. It is a very important development as we continue to evolve our business into a world-class branded wine company.”
Dyer said: “I am delighted to have taken on the broader remit across the UK and Europe. We have a brilliant team in this market, and I am committed to enabling them to flourish and to continue to deliver outstanding quality and service with all our trading partners. The changes will allow us to truly align sales, marketing and supply chain to our customers’ needs.’’
