Pastificio launches Meet the Winemaker series
Chef Angela Hartnett’s deli and wine shop in Covent Garden has announced a new series of Meet the Winemaker and Regional Wine Tasting events for 2017.
Angela Hartnett’s deli and wine shop Pastificio will launch a series of special wine events from 7 March
The Meet the Winemaker series of tasting events will give wine lovers a unique opportunity to sample some of the most exciting and often undiscovered wines coming out of Italy in the company of the growers themselves.
The first event in the series will take place on 7 March when the growers from Fondo San Giuseppe will be in town. Their wine estate is in Emilia Romagna where the focus is on minimal-intervention winemaking.
On 15 May it will be the turn of Valle Reale. Located in Abruzzo, Valle Reale has vineyards at a high altitude inside one of Italy’s most beautiful national parks.
In addition, Pastificio will also be hosting a series of Regional Wine Tastings with Italian wine importer Passione Vino, exploring the the wines of different Italian regions.
On 20 February, the tasting will focus on the northern Italian region of Piedmont and on 6 April Luca Dusi of Passione Vino will introduce a selection of rare wines from Tuscany.
All tickets are priced at £35 and are available here. Dates for events later in the year are yet to be confirmed.
