Tyro chef to make pitstop in Hong Kong

Young British chef Jacob Kenedy will prepare and present a series of special wine and dinner menus from Oct 15-16 and again from the 18-21 at Hong Kong’s Domani Ristorante.

The acclaimed UK chef, restaurateur and writer, whose outlet was ranked number 1 of 2012 things to do in London this year by TimeOut magazine, appears for one week as guest chef at Domani.

He will host an intimate wine dinner on October 15 (a maximum of 20 people) for $1,595 + 10% per person or $3000 + 10% per couple and a gala dinner for 88 people the following night, costing, $980+10% per diner. Another intimate dinner will follow on the 21st and a special Jacob Kenedy “A Tavola” menu, served alongside a la carte menu will be served October 18-21 at a cost of $880 + 10% per person.

The chef-owner of well-known Italian restaurant Bocca di Lupo and gelato shop Gelupo in Soho, London, who was only 28 when he opened his doors, has garnered extensive praise in the UK and now brings his trattoria-style dining to Hong Kong’s Pacific Place.

He specializes in homemade gelati, breads, sausages, salame, pickles, mustard and pasta, all prepared slowly and by hand and will be bringing these homemade specialties to Domani.

Jacob trained both at Moro (London, under Sam & Sam Clark), and at Boulevard (San Francisco, with Nancy Oakes). In 2008 he opened Bocca di Lupo with his partner, Victor Hugo. The restaurant has achieved outstanding reviews since opening and remains a popular venue.
