Alice Cooper tops Jagermeister bill

Jägermeister is set to make history tomorrow night with rock legend Alice Cooper taking centre stage in the UK’s first holographic 4D rock gig at the Jägermeister Ice Cold Event at Battersea Power station.

Appearing on stage with his group for the first time since 1972, Cooper tops a bill including The King Blues and DJ Zane Lowe from Radio 1 along with XFM’s Eddy Temple Morris and Ian Camfield.

Using the very latest V-Depth holographic system, the audience “will be part of an exclusive, interactive show they will never forget.”

The event on Wednesday 11 May is part of the brand’s drive to promote the “perfect” ice cold serve of Jägermeister – one of the top 10 spirit brands in the world by volume.

Indeed, Jägermeister has been in significant triple growth in the UK for the past five years. The brand is the fastest growing shot brand in the UK (CGA/ACN, 2010) and is also the eighth-largest spirits brand in the world (Impact, 2011).

Mike Swingwood, group marketing manager at Cellar trends, told the drinks business: “The Jägermeister Ice Cold Event is our own event, which is intended to build awareness in our marketing communications, most notably the Facebook site and Ice Cold Jägermeister.

“This event is unique and edgy as 4D Holographic gigs have never been done before in the UK. Combining this with the legend that is Alice Cooper, Zane Lowe and The King Blues makes a perfect fit for Jägermeister.

“Jägermeister has strong creditable roots in the music scene, especially rock music, which not many brands have.”

The fact that tickets for the event were exclusively available to consumers via the brand’s Facebook page is evidence of Jägermeister’s continued dedication to growing its social media profile.

Swingwood added: “Jägermeister has a massive cult following and we are developing our social media offering with the launch of our Facebook page. This will allow all our brand activities and events to be hosted in one place and allow us a two-way communication and dialogue with our fans.

“Jägermeister will continue to focus on live music, particularly with our Jägermusic programme, which supports signed and unsigned rock bands in the UK.
