Bavarian Beerhouse eyes extension

Bavarian Beerhouse is seeking investors for new franchises throughout the UK and Ireland following its success in London.

Owners Rene and Sabine von Reth are hoping to find investors for their franchise in 15 new cities including Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Edinburgh and Dublin.

Sabine von Reth, the company’s marketing director, said that with so many off-trade venues struggling post-recession, “new concepts are desperately needed.”

She continued: “Just selling beer and nibbles isn’t enough anymore. Guests are willing to spend money, but they want something in return. Bavarian Beerhouse offers a unique Oktoberfest entertainment concept: food, drink and entertainment – an oompah band, some yodelling, singing and dancing.”

First launched in 2005, there are now two Bavarian Beerhouses in London and von Reth is hoping their popularity will be an encouragement to would-be investors.

The original outlet in Old Street made four-times the revenue of the previous tenant within its first year and the second venue near Tower Hill tube opened in May of this year.

“Clearly, Bavarian-style entertainment is a winning formula," said von Reth. "We know that’s the main reason for our success in our two London outlets, Bavarian Beerhouse Old Street and Bavarian Beerhouse Tower Hill.”

On Tuesday 2 November Bavarian Beerhouse will be holding an information day for those interested in investing in the concept. For further information contact franchise@bavarian-beerhouse.co.uk
