Virgin appoints media specialists

Virgin Wines is looking for new ways of engaging consumers with the appointment of consultants Somatica.

The online wine retailer has asked the company to help broaden its awareness and appeal among consumers, with more up-to-date social media methods. Customer interaction with the company is being viewed as one of the main priorities.

Jay Wright, managing director of Virgin Wines, said: “The advances and increased use in social media has given us a wonderful new way to interact with our customers, and more importantly to allow them to communicate with us and each other in an informal manner.

“We are keen to use every channel to its full potential to allow every customer to communicate with us in a way that is most suitable and convenient to them,” he added.

Meanwhile, Karl Havard, managing director of Somatica, said: “There is an enormous amount to consider when it comes to social media. However, with the right strategy and a people-centric approach, we know that we can deliver significant benefits to Virgin Wines’ customers and Virgin Wines itself.”
