Goedhuis thinks pink for charity

Join London fine wine merchant Goedhuis & Co and Savills for a summer rosé celebration at the Saatchi Gallery tomorrow evening in aid of Starlight Children’s Foundation.

The charity provides entertainment and light relief for half a million sick or terminally ill children in UK hospitals and hospices.

It may “only” be rosé, but eight of France’s most respected producers will be participating in the event, including Champagne houses Laurent-Perrier and Billecart-Salmon.

The rest of the line-up includes Provençal producers Château St Baillon, Domaines Ott and Château d’Esclans; Bordeaux’s Château de Sours, Domaine Reverdy from Sancerre and Champagne De Bruyne.

Plenty of food will also be on offer to complement the wine, with top suppliers providing a selection of Parma ham, cheese, bread, cupcakes and strawberries.

This is also your chance to browse the Saatchi Gallery’s newly opened exhibition, “Newspeak: British Art Now”, showcasing the work of the next generation of young British artists.

In addition to the £25 per person tickets and 10% donation from all wine sold at the event, Goedhuis will raise further funds for Starlight with a prize draw, featuring a case or large format bottle from each of the participating producers.

There will also be a silent auction for experiences including a day in Paris and Champagne with Billecart-Salmon, a weekend in Provence with Château d’Esclans and a private Laurent-Perrier tasting.

To buy tickets, contact Emily Yeomans at Starlight at emily@starlight.org.uk or call +44 (0)207 262 2881 Ext. 242.
