Tesco names new wine category manager
Tesco has appointed Claire Lorains as its new wine category manager.
The appointment follows Andrew Carpenter’s move to the supermarket’s health and beauty department.
Lorains joined Tesco in 2002 and worked in business planning roles in grocery and at Tesco.com before her latest role as senior buying manager for household.
A Tesco statement said: “Her broad commercial experience will bring valued skills to the beers wines and spirits team as she continues with the Tesco reputation for bringing excitement, quality and value for money to customers in the wine aisle.”
Lorains will take up her new position on Monday, 8 March.
