Guinness reveals hidden depths

Guinness has provided one drinker with the experience of a lifetime, sending her down to the bottom of the Baltic Sea for a pint in the Guinness Deep Sea Bar.

The deep sea pint marked the culmination of a four day Scandinavian adventure for Evelyne Gridelet, accompanied by her husband and sister, after winning the first in a series of global competitions held as part of Guinness’ 250th anniversary celebrations.

To reach the custom-built Guinness submarine, the guests had to walk out across the frozen Baltic in bracing winds, while an ice breaker was needed to clear a path for the voyage.

Later this year, the Diageo-owned brand will reward its other competition winners with a trip into space on board Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic Spaceship and an exclusive gig by The Black Eyed Peas.
